The entire website needed to be brought into the current era; it had obviously been designed and built before the mobile experience became as important as desktop. Analytics showed that job seekers and users seeking news were the two main groups visiting the site, so this content needed to be more prominent and easy to find in any redesign.
A new colour palette, a new typeface, new styles of photography and a wealth of statistics regarding the benefits and appeal of living in Cornwall were part of the solution. Jobs and news were placed front and center on the homepage as part of the strategy to make the most sought-after content more visible.
